Cottage Bank Account
For those of us who don’t like surprises in the budget, I think it would be helpful to have a Cottage Bank Account that we could contribute into on a regular basis so that we don’t have to come up with a large sum at once. For the dock, for example, if the quote is for $8000 we could each put aside $170/month, and by next summer we’d have enough. Might be tricky trying to find an institution that we could all agree upon, that would work for everyone as far as auto-transfers etc. We’d have to agree on who has authority/access, and how contributions are decided upon. I think it would be a major step towards becoming a functioning community. Thoughts? Please use the discussion page (or here, don’t matter where…).

Page:Outhouse
There has been interest expressed regarding building a biffy on the point, for anyone pitching a tent over there. As with the dock, it could be a knock-down pre-built that could be hauled out and set up. A duplicate of the existing outhouse is suggested, as Robin’s design is outstanding!
We spoke with the folks at the office about this, and unfortunately a building permit would not be approved at this time due to the lease negotiations. This discussion will have to be put on hold until the freeze on new permits is lifted. —Lhepburn (talk) 08:05, 14 April 2014 (MDT)
Talk:Outhouse
There is currently material on the point from Tom’s gazebo that used to be the boathouse , on the point now that was thought to be used for building an outhouse . roof is already shingled and everything, Recycle recycle!! Material is piled so that the shingled roof panels are on top on a slope , so hopefully the stack of lumber would not get rotten quickly. Maybe a permit would now be available . I vote for a permanent Biffy not a knockdown . Again it just takes time to dig a hole and assemble
