The cottage has a BBQ that becomes quite important during the heat of the summer. Since it gets so hot in the house, cooking outside is the preferred method for most late afternoon meals.
This page documents the current BBQ and any plans for maintaining and future replacements.

- Is it worth replacing parts on the old BBQ?
— So far the answer has been to replace parts only. It is cheaper this way. —Tom Hepburn (talk) 23:31, 27 May 2014 (MDT)
- Should we just look into a new one?
— As of Summer 2014 It has been suggested that finding replacement parts for the existing one is cost conscious, given the fact that there are so many other issues requiring money to resolve. —Tom Hepburn (talk) 23:31, 27 May 2014 (MDT)
We do use it to cook a lot. What does everyone think?

Status of The BBQ August 2013
The BBQ is getting a little worse for wear. The metal “flavorwave” plate is completely rusted out, the racks are becoming quite rusted, the burner also is going to need replacing, and the automatic starter has not worked in years. I have checked out prices for all of these parts and it is going to come out to between $120 and $150 dollars ish.
Fall 2014 Update
Thank you Dave for replacing the burner in the BBQ maybe we can replace the whole unit when we get sick of replacing burners and grates.
